Patna, Dec 26 (PTI) Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor on Thursday gave a three-day time to the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar to resolve issues related to the alleged question paper leak of a recent PSC exam. The state has been witnessing a widespread demonstration by civil service aspirants over the issue and the police faced criticism for using force on protesters. Kishor, whose Jan Suraaj party had last week written to Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena for cancellation of the examination held by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on December 13, warned the police of protests if job seekers are baton-charged in future. The Jan Suraaj party chief on Thursday reached Gardani Bagh, the designated place for organising protests or dharna, where civil service aspirants have been holding a sit-in for the last several days and demanding cancellation of the December 13 exam. "The government must meet protesting students or their representatives and consider their demand for re-examination. I am giving an ultimatum to the state government. The administration must resolve this issue within three days," Kishor said. He extended support to the protesters and said he would join a march on Monday. "I am always here to support the students. I will also join protest march of the students tomorrow. I will be at the forefront. If the police resort to baton-charge, I will be the first to face that. The police action against students on Wednesday is highly condemnable," he said while addressing the protesting aspirants. Chaos erupted outside the BPSC office on Wednesday when police baton-charged the protesters who were seeking cancellation of the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024. The demonstrators alleged irregularities in the exam, including paper leaks, and sought re-examination. A group of protesters marched towards the BPSC office to press their demands, and a confrontation between police personnel and the job seekers ensued after they were stopped. RJD supremo Lalu Prasad also condemned the police action against protesting job aspirants. "Police action against protesting students was wrong. Police should not have done this", Lalu told reporters in Patna on Thursday. LOUIS , Dec. 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Eric Watkins , President of Abstrakt, is shedding light on the significant challenges businesses face when building in-house Sales Development Representative (SDR) teams. Rising costs, complex technology needs, and extended timelines are making outsourcing an increasingly attractive option for companies seeking efficient and effective sales solutions. "We often find companies have already tried to do this all on their own and struggled," said Watkins. "It's a lot of puzzle pieces to put together, and working with a professional team that does this exclusively often gets better results." Watkins noted that businesses often underestimate the full scope of building an SDR team, from recruiting and onboarding skilled personnel to investing in necessary software and AI tools. Additional hurdles include developing outreach strategies, maintaining accountability metrics, and ensuring consistent performance tracking. "Building your own team can be a good route if you have the fully dedicated resources to do so," Watkins said. "But it requires a lot of software, content planning, research tools, and follow-through on sequencing." The rise of AI-driven sales tools has added to the complexity, with many companies struggling to optimize these technologies for maximum impact. Watkins explained that companies often lack the expertise to effectively integrate AI into their outreach efforts, further extending the time and cost required to build a functional SDR team. For many businesses, outsourcing to specialized teams like Abstrakt provides a faster and more cost-effective solution. By eliminating the need for ongoing training, technology investment, and process development, outsourcing offers immediate access to experienced professionals and proven systems. Abstrakt, which handles over 100,000 appointments annually across industries, has seen firsthand how outsourcing delivers measurable results for its clients. "Evaluate your resources, timeline, and ability to stay accountable to your sales goals," Watkins advised. "If there are gaps, partnering with a team that specializes in this work can help you grow faster and more effectively." Abstrakt is a B2B lead generation and marketing agency based in St. Louis, Missouri . With over a decade of experience, the company specializes in omnichannel appointment setting and helping businesses achieve measurable growth. SOURCE Abstrakt Marketing Group

The U.S. Commerce Department announced it is finalizing awards totaling billions to bolster domestic chip production. Up to $4.745 billion will go to South Korea's Samsung Electronics, and $1.61 billion will be provided to Texas Instruments. Samsung's revised investment plan now includes $37 billion toward new facilities in the U.S., a reduction from initial projections of $45 billion. Texas Instruments will use over $18 billion to create new factories in Texas and Utah, expecting to generate about 2,000 jobs. This funding aligns with broader national efforts to reinvigorate the semiconductor supply chain, aided by a $39 billion congressional subsidy approved last year. -- Shares Facebook Twitter Reddit Email A Florida woman was arrested for invoking words reportedly found at the scene of the fatal shooting of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thomas in a phone call with her insurance provider. 42-year-old Briana Boston was arrested on Tuesday and charged with threatening to conduct a mass shooting or act of terrorism after she allegedly said, “Delay, deny, depose, you people are next” while on the phone with representatives of BlueCross BlueShield . Thompson’s killer inscribed bullet casings with the words “defend,” “deny” and “depose,” law enforcement said last week, a reference to the playbook insurance companies run to keep claim rejection rates high. The call was referred to Lakeland law enforcement by the FBI and treated as a threat due to the phrase “directed against insurance companies,” police told local outlet WFLA . Related Luigi Mangione shouts message to reporters prior to extradition hearing Boston told police at her home that she did use the phrase but that she “was not a danger to anyone” and didn’t own any weapons. “Healthcare companies played games and deserved karma from the world because they are evil,” she reportedly told officers, adding that she used the phrase “because it’s what is in the news right now." Still, a judge set her bond at $100,000, citing "the status of our country at this point." She is currently being held at the Polk County jail. While Boston is one of the first individuals arrested for allegedly making copycat threats, a grip of “wanted posters” appeared in New York City this week threatening other health insurance executives, NBC News reported. Some execs have beefed up their security details, worried they might be future targets, per CNBC. The space is where I like to look for opportunities that could deliver strong capital returns. Not only is capital growth great at increasing our wealth, but it also does so in a way where the tax burden is quite low. Capital growth is only taxed when the asset is sold, whereas income and interest are taxed every year. Of course, there are plenty of businesses that are growing quickly and also pay a dividend. I like businesses that are increasing their earnings rapidly because is a very powerful financial tool that can allow companies to double in size. For example, if a business grows revenue by 20% per year, it will double in size in less than four years. Having said all that, I think these ASX growth stocks below could have a very positive 2025. TechnologyOne Ltd ( ) TechnologyOne is one of the most impressive software businesses on the ASX, in my view. It provides enterprise resource planning (ERP) for clients like local, state, and federal governments, as well as education (such as universities) and businesses. This is mission-critical for their software. I have already missed out on some of the gains with TechnologyOne shares. In , I wrote how the ASX growth share was close to being my next investment. I didn't get around to investing, and it has risen 22% since then. However, it's not too late for anyone, including me, to grab a piece of this exciting business. The – reported just over a month ago – included lots of positives. Total grew 20%, with UK sales ARR jumping 70%. I think it's a great sign that growth in the UK is so strong because the UK provides the company with a large addressable market to target. The company's long-term target of net revenue retention (NRR) of 115% is impressive. That means its existing client base generates 15% more revenue in the next year compared to the previous year, which is a strong organic growth rate. The ASX growth stock is achieving this by expanding its use of global software as a service (SaaS) ERP software to streamline its services. TechnologyOne is also expecting profit growth. It achieved a profit before tax (PBT) margin of 29% in FY23, which rose to 30% in FY24. In the coming years, it aims for a PBT margin of at least 35%. According to the broker UBS, the TechnologyOne share price is 35x FY29's estimated earnings. It's not cheap, but many of the ASX's best growth shares also trade on high earnings multiples. VanEck MSCI International Small Companies Quality ETF ( ) I view smaller businesses as having more growth potential than larger ones, partly due to the fact they are still in the growth stage of their business life. This ASX growth stock is an focused on exciting businesses. Inside this portfolio are 150 of the world's highest-quality small companies. Small companies on the global stage are still relatively large – we're not talking microcaps. The companies have achieved that status because they score well on three measurements and low financial leverage. In the past five years, the index this fund tracks has returned an average of 15% per year. That compares to an average 13.4% return per year for the MSCI World ex-Australia, which is one measurement of the global share market. With these businesses spread across different countries and sectors, I like the on offer – this investment is not reliant on a few tech names to do well. In fact, only 8.6% of the fund is invested in IT businesses. Hence, I'm excited by how this fund could do in the long term.SunCoke Energy stock soars to 52-week high of $12.81Meet the Robot That Can Do It All! It Walks, Talks, and Cleans
